One thing I love doing every day is checking my stats for my blog to see if I’ve made any money.  Now that my blog is a few weeks old, the stats are gradually improving each day and it is getting more traffic each day.

I have a couple of different income streams on my blog and I check each of them to see if I’ve made any money.  Being quite new still I have only made a little so far, but it is quite exciting when I log in to check those stats and see a little bit more money in there.

Not bad for a kid I recon to be able to come online and create a blog and within a couple of weeks to be able to start making money with it.  I haven’t been posting to my blog anywhere near as often as I should be so I know that I could be making even more money by now if I had been posting to it every day.

I haven’t been posting on this blog much lately since school is back in and I haven’t had as much time.  I mentioned a couple of posts back though that I was starting another blog that I created based around a really good keyword phrase.

I have been putting in an effort to post to that blog and promote it a little and it is coming along quite well.  I have actually made my first couple of dollars with it.  It isn’t much yet, but I can see that the more I post to it and the more I promote it, then I am starting to get more and more visitors to it.

In my last post I talked about how I was starting a blog to earn money and you might be wondering ‘can a kid make money blogging’ and so I just wanted to come in and give an update.  No I haven’t made any money with my blog yet, but it is only a couple of days old so I’m confident that this blog will do ok.

You might remember in my last post I spoke about doing keyword research and finding a good keyword that has a lot of searches every day but with not too much competition.  Well, even though my blog is only a couple of days old, it is already ranking number 3 in Google for the ‘exact’ phrase match.

I know the exact phrase match gets much less views than broad match, but the fact that I have number 3 for exact in such a short period of time is a good sign.  I don’t think it will take me long to get my blog to page 1 in Google for broad phrase.

As well as site flipping, my Mum also does a lot of niche blogging and we’ve been doing some research and I’m going to give it a go.  Blogging can’t be that hard right, I mean I’m doing it right now with this blog.

Anyway, with niche blogging, you need to choose a good niche (topic) and start a blog about it.  Mum has been showing me all this stuff about keyword research because you can’t just choose any old name for your blog, it is best to choose your blog name based on the keywords for your blog.

She helped me do all this research to find a good keyword phrase (group of words) relating to the topic that I want to blog about.  It’s not just about finding a group of words though, she actually goes through and finds out how many people are searching for that group of words on Google and also how much competition there is on Google for that group of words.

The other day I bought an ebook from a kid online who is selling this ebook telling you how you can make $20 a day.  It was a little disappointing as it basically just talked about buying chocolate bars from the supermarket for 25c each and then selling them to your parents, relatives and neighbours for 75c.  So you make 50c profit on each chocolate bar.

At 50c profit each, you would need to sell 40 chocolate bars every day to make $20 a day.  I think your parents and neighbours and relatives would get a bit sick of buying chocolates from you everyday – not to mention they would start putting on weight.

Anyway, I don’t know about where you live, but I don’t even think we can get chocolate bars for 25c at the supermarket. Read the rest of this entry »

Welcome to my Kid Make Money website.

My name is Ben and I am 11 years old.  I have been telling my Mum for the last few weeks that I want a PSP and she just keeps telling me that I better start saving.

I know that Mum does a lot of work online as an Internet Marketer so I asked her a couple of days ago if I could do some work for her to earn some money.  I don’t know that it is going to be very easy, but she is going to teach me some of the stuff that she does to make money online.
