There are ways for kids to make money that have been around for years such as:
- newspaper round
- lemonade stand
- mow the neighbour’s lawn
- wash the car
- doing extra chores
- getting a job flipping burgers or at the local store
The age of the child will affect what type of job they might get, but these days more and more kids are turning to the internet to earn money.
But is it actually possible for a kid to make money online or are they just wasting their time?

Blogging is easy and mostly just a matter of setting up a blog and then updating it regularly. It’s like keeping a diary online that you write about things every day or so. Although, just writing your personal thoughts and experiences like you would in a diary might not be a good niche for making money.
This is probably the most difficult part about blogging – choosing a good niche that has some demand so that you can make money from it.
The next difficult part is choosing relevant keywords for that niche and keywords that will get you lots of visitors to your blog but that don’t have too much competition.
I don’t want to turn you off by saying these two steps are difficult, because they aren’t extremely difficult and they don’t really take that long to do. Once you do these two steps, then you can have your blog up and running and then it is very easy to update it and make money from it. It is important to do these two steps though as they can make all the difference between your blog making a few cents to making lots of dollars.
